Hi, I’m Corrina

I burned the candle at both ends until my body burned back.

For nine years, I was a school psychologist — conducting evaluations, sitting in IEPs, running threat assessments, holding space for other people's crises before 8am. I was good at it. I was also, quietly, falling apart.

The stress didn't stay in my head. It showed up in migraines. Then in two straight years of chronic hives — daily, unexplained, all over my body. My nervous system was telling me something my calendar refused to hear: this pace was not sustainable, no matter how meaningful the work was.

"I wanted to work less, earn more, and do work that is meaningful to me and aligned with my values. So I stopped waiting for permission."

In fall 2024, after a divorce and a move from the only home I'd ever known — Fresno, where I was born, raised, and built a decade-long career — I landed in the Silicon Valley and asked myself a harder question: what if I built something of my own?

I recently walked away from a full-time position with great benefits to become a Licensed Educational Psychologist in private practice and a coach for BIPOC women and LGBTQ+ folks who already know there's something more out there for them. Not because the leap was safe. Because staying was costing me more than it was giving back.

I'm a Chicana, a musical theatre lover, a true-crime "murderino," a feminist, and pansexual — and I built Ember Coaching because I want the women and queer folks I work with to stop shrinking themselves to fit rooms that were never built for them. Your heritage, your identity, your whole self — that's not the thing to manage around your career. That's the foundation it should stand on.

MY APPROACH

I’m not here to hand you a generic playbook. I’m here to help you burn yours.

Most coaching sounds like: set SMART goals, build a vision board, stay accountable. Mine starts a layer deeper — with the mask you've been wearing to survive, and the heritage underneath it that's been carrying you the whole time. I combine transformational coaching with radical, no-sugarcoating honesty, because you don't need another cheerleader. You need someone who will name what's actually happening and help you build a plan that fits your real life — not someone else's template.

Self-discovery over scripts — we find your strengths, values, and the version of success that's actually yours.

1.

Ancestral grounding — we honor what your resilience is built on, instead of erasing it to fit in.

3.

Radical accountability — I'll hold you to your word, even (especially) when it's uncomfortable.

2.

Community, not competition — you're joining a group of people doing this alongside you, not going it alone.

4.
